Te-Tech Process Solutions, together with technology partner, Salinity Solutions, have been finalising the latest generation of the HyBatch reverse osmosis for SUEZ, the leading global provider of environmental solutions.
HyBatch SAM50-1 employs cutting edge, high efficiency fully automatic batch reverse osmosis (RO) technology and is designed for wastewater recovery and reuse – HyBatch can achieve up to an astonishing 95% water recovery against a typical 75% for traditional RO systems, whilst giving a significant reduction in energy consumption.
Last month, the SUEZ Innovation Team visited our Manufacturing & Technical Assembly division in Southampton to inspect the first SAM50-1 unit built by our engineers, which will be taken to the South of France for benchmarking against a standard RO process at a full-scale wastewater treatment plant in early 2025.
Wastewater recovery will be key to solving the problems of water scarcity imposed by increasing population, climate change and emerging pollutants – and HyBatch advanced RO technology will contribute to promoting wastewater as a new resource, particularly in coastal regions which are at risk of saline intrusion into groundwater resources.
