Installation / Commissioning Engineer (Automation Products)

Location: Southampton, United Kingdom

Due to continued growth, we are now recruiting for an Installation / Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Southampton. The Installation / Commissioning Engineer will report to the Lead Installation / Commissioning Engineer and responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

Responsibilities include:

• Pre-Contract Site Surveys
• Installation of Control panels and equipment such as:
• Retro-fitting existing panels.
• Installation of new wall mount panels.
• Installation of full MCC systems, including both power and ICA sections.
• Installation of LVDB systems.
• There is also a limited requirement for the following commissioning activities (non-exhaustive):
• Setup of VSD / signal isolators / timers etc.
• Setup of Flow meters / pressure sensors / temperature sensors etc.
• Modification of control panels, including power, starter and ICA type modifications.
• Creation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports and other paperwork
• Experience of telemetry outstations such as the Serck PX24, Schneider Talus T4e & Seprol S2000 would be ideal, but not essential.

 Skills / Background:

• A background in working in industrial electrical installations / assembly.
• Experience of working as an Electrical installation technician / engineer.
• NVQ Level 3 or above in electrical installation.
• ECS card (or equivalent).
• 12 months or more experience of working in industrial installations.
• Onsite Fault Finding and Modification of Electrical Control Systems.
• Client facing with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Hard working and self-motivated.
